Platysaurus (пласка ящірка) — рід ящірок родини поясохвостів (Cordylidae). Представники цього роду мешкають в Південній Африці.

Етимологія
Наукова назва роду Platysaurus походить від сполучення слів дав.-гр. πλατυς — широкий і σαυρος — ящірка[4].
