The Jury of Fate (sh. Presuda sudbine) je američki crno-bijeli nijemi film snimljen 1917. u režiji Toda Browninga. U njemu Mabel Taliafero tumači dvostruku ulogu brata i sestre blizanke, od kojih je muško dijete uživa očevu naklonost. Radnja prikazuje kako brat pogiba, a sestra, nastojeći olakšati gubitak ocu, reže kosu i preuzima identitet brata, izazvavši niz komplikacija u odnosu sa svojim momkom. Zbog bizarnog zapleta i sličnih detalja filma, The Jury of Fate se često dovodi u vezu s mnogo poznatijim ostvarenjima iz kasnijeg perioda njegove filmografije.[1]
