5-metiltetrahidrofolat + NAD(P)+ {\displaystyle \rightleftharpoons } 5,10-metilintetrahidrofolat + NAD(P)H + H+

Ova enzim je flavoprotein (FAD). Menadion može takođe da služi kao elektronski akceptor.
