Cupa MTN 8 este un turneu de fotbal eliminatoriu doar pentru cluburile din prima ligă din Africa de Sud, care s-au clasat pe primele 8 locuri în sezonul anterior. A început în 1972 și după vechime este cea de-a doua cupă ca importanță.

Istoric

Fondată în 1972 cu numele de Cupa BP Top Eight, și-a schimbat succesiv denumirea din motive de publicitate și sponsorizare.

- 1972 - 2002 : Cupa BP Top Eight

- 2003 - 2007 : SAA Super Eight

- 2008 - până în prezent : Cupa MTN 8

În sezoanele 1997, 1998 și 1999 cupa nu s-a jucat.
