Cyrtonota er en slekt av biller som tilhører familiegruppen bladbiller (Chrysomelidae). Både larvene og de voksne (imago) er planteetere.

Utseende

Nokså små (5-8 millimeter), brede, ovale til hjerteformede, hvelvede til pyramidiske (i de siste tilfellene ser det ut som torner fra siden), halvmatte skjoldbiller, gjerne svarte med røde eller gule tegninger, men andre farger forekommer også. Dekkvingene framhjørner er lite framskytende. Hodet er ganske lite, antennene forholdsvis korte. Kroppsformen varierer en god del innen slekten. Pronotum er mye bredere enn langt, nærmest rundet, dekkvingene hvelvede i midten uten punktrader. Beina er nokså korte.

Levevis

I alle fall noen av artene lever på planter i vindelfamilien inkludert søtpotet.

Utbredelse

Slekten er vidt utbredt i Mellom- og Sør-Amerika nord til det sørlige Mexico.
