Brachyplatystoma rousseauxii adalah sebuah spesies lele dalam keluarga Pimelodidae yang berasal dari Sungai Amazon dan Orinoco dan sungai-sungai besar Guiana Prancis.[2][3][4] Film tersebut mengambil nama dari Louis Rousseau (1811-1874), asisten naturalis Museum Sejarah Alam Nasional, Prancis.[5]
