Michael Lee Aday (nacido como Marvin Lee Aday), más conocido por su nombre artístico Meat Loaf (Dallas, Texas, 27 de septiembre de 1947) es un cantante y actor estadounidense. También con el nombre de Meat Loaf se conoce a la banda que lidera y de la que es vocalista.

Su trilogía de álbumes Bat Out of Hell —Bat Out of Hell, Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell y Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose—ha vendido más de 50 millones de copias en todo el mundo.[1]​ Más de cuarenta años después de su publicación, Bat Out of Hell aún vende un estimado de 200.000 copias anuales, convirtiéndolo en uno de los álbumes más exitosos de la historia de la música.[2]​[3]​

Tras el éxito obtenido con Bat Out of Hell y Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell y luego de obtener un Premio Grammy a la mejor interpretación vocal de rock solista por la canción "I'd Do Anything for Love", Meat Loaf experimentó algunas dificultades para establecer una carrera estable en los Estados Unidos. Sin embargo, ha conservado su popularidad en Europa, especialmente en el Reino Unido, donde recibió el Premio Brit en 1994.

Su discografía está compuesta por 13 álbumes de estudio, cinco álbumes en vivo, siete álbumes recopilatorios, un EP y 39 sencillos.
