Jurie George van Vuuren (born 7 June 1993) is a South African rugby union player who plays for the Tel Aviv Heat.[1] He also plays for the Utah Warriors in Major League Rugby (MLR).[2] His regular position is lock or flanker.
He previously played for the Eastern Province Elephants in the Currie Cup and in the Rugby Challenge[3] He also was a member of the Southern Kings.
Career
With no prior senior experience, Van Vuuren joined the Stormers' touring squad during the 2014 Super Rugby season following several injuries to first team players.[4][5] He made his debut for the Stormers in their 25–15 loss to the Brumbies in Canberra[6] by coming on as a second-half substitute.[7] He was named in the starting line-up for the Stormers' next match, against the Reds in Brisbane.[8]
