Higashi-Ichiki Station (東市来駅, Higashi-Ichiki-eki)is a passenger railway station located in the city of Hioki, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by JR Kyushu.^[1]^[2]

The station is served by the Kagoshima Main Line and is located 372.1 km from the starting point of the line at Mojikō.^[1]

History

The station was opened by Japanese Government Railways (JGR) on 11 October 1913. With the privatization of Japanese National Railways (JNR), the successor of JGR, on 1 April 1987, JR Kyushu took over control of the station.^[3]^[4]

Passenger statistics

In fiscal 2020, the station was used by an average of 265 passengers daily (boarding passengers only), and it ranked 291st among the busiest stations of JR Kyushu.^[5]
