The 13th Parliament of Botswana is the forthcoming meeting of the National Assembly, the unicameral legislature of the Parliament of Botswana. Its membership will be determined by the results of the 2024 general election.
The 13th Parliament will comprise 61 elected members, an increase of four members. This change stems from the 2022 seat redistribution cycle, marking the first instance since the inauguration of the 9th Parliament that the number of elected members has risen.[1][2]
The 13th Parliament will serve from after the next general election until another election is called. Under section 91 of the Constitution of Botswana, Parliament, unless sooner dissolved, shall continue for five years from the date of the first sitting of the National Assembly after any dissolution and shall then stand dissolved.[3]
